Franklin Duane Davis
Franklin Duane Davis Duane Davis, 74, of Hiko, Nevada, passed away July 6, 2010. He was born August 7, 1935 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Evan and LeBlanche Ferguson Davis. He spent his school years working cattle with his Dad and was working full time by the time he was 15 years old. Duane worked hard throughout his life and his work was a reflection of his commitment to do a job well, do it to completion and do it in a way you can be proud of. Duane and his family moved to Pahramagat Valley in the early 1960's and he has called Hiko his home ever since. He spent his years in the Valley working for Clark County Road Department, working the familyâ€™s cattle, raising his sons Joe, Mike and Chris, working for Water Well Services and helping anyone and everyone who needed a hand. He was always willing to mend, fix, build or advise as needed â€“ but his favorite way of passing time involved a good visit and a cup of coffee. Funeral services were held at the Alamo City Cemetery on July 10, 2010.
