Lincoln County High School held their annual wrestling tournament January 29-30 with 11 teams participating. White Pine took first place with 152 points, followed by Pahranagat Valley with 106. Lincoln County earned fourth place with 97 points.
For Lincoln County, Ballejos was third at 103, Waugh, second at 112, Lafavore, fourth at 119, Campbell, second at 135, Matt Jones won the 145-pound class. Wadsworth was third at 160, and Nathan Miller was third at 215.
Pahranagat Valley's Zack Stumpf was second at 103 pounds, Michael Sparrow as second at 125 pounds, Jenson Jones won the 135-pound weight class, Turley, fourth at 130 pounds, Roy Lasike was first at 140 pounds, and Brandon Miller was third at 189-pounds.
Several of the teams had participated in a duel match the day before with Pahranagat Valley taking third place, because of a coin-flip tiebreaker with Eureka. Lincoln County beat The Meadows for fifth place.
Lincoln County and PVHS will be involved in the Divisional Duels this weekend at Laughlin, and then the 2A Southern Regionals in Alamo February 12-13.
